24/7 phone and chat supports:

Lifeline is Australia’s leading suicide prevention service. They are a national charity providing all Australians experiencing a personal crisis with access to 24-hour crisis support.

Kids Helpline is Australia’s only free (even from a mobile), confidential 24/7 online and phone counselling service for young people aged 5 to 25.

Beyond Blue provide 24/7 free phone and online counselling service for everyone in Australia. They provide mental health information and qualified support.

Free nationwide counselling
for suicide prevention & mental health via telephone, online & video for anyone affected by suicidal thoughts - available 24/7.

Local online and drop-in service:

Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds. They have headspace centres in communities across Australia, online and phone counselling services, vocational services, and presence in schools.

Online resources for anyone not feeling so good:

Anonymous and confidential, ReachOut is a safe place where young people can connect with people who will provide judgement-free support, and build the resilience to manage their challenges. They offer one-to-one peer support, moderated online communities, and tips, stories and resources

Head to Health centres are a safe and welcoming space to talk to someone if you, or someone you care about, are in distress, or need help finding the right mental health support to meet your needs. They offer face-to-face and telephone services.

Help for women and children at risk of violence:

The Centre for Non-Violence is a not for profit organisation that provides a range of services and programs that respond to and work to prevent family violence and homelessness across the Loddon region.

Support for anyone sleeping rough or at risk of homelessness:

Haven Home Safe deliver programs and provide support to people experiencing homelessness or in housing crisis. They have offices in Bendigo, Geelong, Mildura and Preston and provide outreach in Echuca, Kyabram and Swan Hill (programs, services and supports vary across locations).

Support for men doing it tough:

BDAC is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation providing primary healthcare - including medical services and social service programs - to Greater Bendigo and surrounding areas

MensLine Australia provide free, professional phone and online counselling, Australia-wide. Their qualified counsellors specialise in family and relationship issues, including relationship breakdown, separation and divorce, parenting, family violence, emotional wellbeing, mental health challenges, anger management, and suicide prevention.

Support for people who have grown up in the care of others than their parents/family:

Care Leavers Australasia Network (CLAN) offers support to people who grew up in orphanages, children’s homes, missions and foster care in Australia and overseas. Care leavers and CLAN members can contact the organisation to access a range of free services including support and advocacy.
